Washer Will Not Spin or Agitate

You open the lid to find soaking wet clothes because the machine never reached high speed. This is one of the most common washer failures. It puts extra strain on your dryer and can ruin the clothes if they sit wet for too long.

• Failed motor coupling

Washer Is Leaking Water

A puddle of water around your washer can damage your floor and ceiling if you have a second floor laundry room. Leaks can come from internal pumps or external hoses.

• Loose drain hose connection

Washer Is Not Draining

Dryer Makes Loud Noises

Dryers should be relatively quiet. A rhythmic thumping, squealing, or grinding noise indicates that the support system for the heavy drum is wearing out.

• Worn drum support rollers
• Idler pulley bearing failure
• Worn drum glides
• Loose blower wheel
• Object caught in the blower fan

We identify the type of sound. A squeak is often a pulley or roller shaft. A thump is usually a flat spot on a roller. We open the cabinet to inspect the belt tensioner and the condition of the rollers.

Washer Shakes or Vibrates Excessively

• Worn suspension rods or springs
• Damaged snubber ring
• Shock absorbers failed (front load)
• Counterweight broken

Dryer Takes Too Long to Dry

• Crushed flexible transition hose
• Moisture sensor coated in dryer sheet residue
• Blower wheel clogged with lint

We measure the temperature of the exhaust air. If it is hot but the airflow is weak the blockage is in the venting. We check the moisture bars inside the drum. If they cannot sense wet clothes the computer shuts the cycle off too early.

Washer Smells Like Mold
